South Beach, Bringing the Heat

We were lucky enough to attend my cousin’s wedding this past weekend, which took place in a cool little harbor in Jupiter, FL. When we were planning our trip down, we figured why not take a few extra days and check out Miami!

Miami Beach is a sight to behold! Looking down Collins Avenue, you get the sense that you’ve stepped into a different world.  All of the buildings have their own little charm and a touch of Art Deco that seems to take you back in time. The streets were bustling with tons people ready for the beach, bikes and boards zoomed past and there were blinged out cars everywhere you looked. It’s a city that loves excitement and it doesn’t stop until the wee hours of the morning.

Our hotel was fun and swanky, with little hip touches everywhere you looked and right in the action on Collins Avenue. The beaches are beautiful and the water is crystal clear. Perfect for someone like me who typically doesn’t get in the ocean because of a fear of things that cannot be seen below. I got into the ocean and I enjoyed every minute! Plus, it was too hot to not take a dip.

The food…don’t even get me started! There is an option for any taste in Miami and we certainly took advantage of it. 🙂 Also, I’m pretty sure I had the Will Smith song stuck in my head the entire time we were there.
