Foodie Friday: Watermelon Sugar High Cocktail

If you love watermelon, then this is your drink! It’s like summertime in a glass! And you’re welcome for getting this song stuck in your head!

 

In a shaker:

a good amount of watermelon chunks

a few mint leaves

a little lime juice

a little simple syrup

1.5 ounces of tequila (or however much you’d like)

 

Muddle all together to get all that watermelon juice, add ice and shake. Strain into your glass full of ice, or for a little sassy flair, frozen watermelon balls. I froze mine overnight in an ice tray! I also topped it with a little sparkling water to give it some jazz!

Then cheers to the summer gods, ask them to end this sweltering heat, and enjoy!
