Meet Mary Grace & Michael! I knew this session was going to be great before I even got to meet these two in person. Mary Grace has to be one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met! And how cool is this location?! I had never heard of it and Michael is the one that came up with the idea. It’s called Michell Mill State Nature Area in Zebulon. There are no frills or amenities or even a parking lot really, but it’s such a cool hidden spot! It’s full of these large flat rocks with water and it’s pretty quiet without the crowds. One of the more secluded parts of the area had a few people hanging out, listening to the perfect folk, indie rock music. One of the songs was January Wedding by the Avett Brothers – too perfect! So I obviously had Mary Grace and Michael slow dance for a few pictures. I think what I loved the most is how much fun they were having and so open to all my (sometimes crazy) ideas! Not to mention Mary Grace’s dress – one of my favorites to date!

These two also just closed on their house this week and I couldn’t be more excited for them! What a great year they have in store. They are tying the knot on Mary Grace’s grandfather’s land in Wendell next May and I can already tell that it’s going to be amazing!
