There is something so romantic about downtown Raleigh! I think that’s why so many of my couples gravitate towards it for their engagement photos and I love it! There is a constant energy downtown. If it’s busy, there is a buzz of excitement with all the hustle and bustle of people. When it’s quiet, there is a peaceful, almost enigmatic feeling in the air – like you’re in on a secret or something.

I met Clare & John downtown on a Friday afternoon, so there was a lot of bustle going on around us. They had me laughing through their entire session, so much so that I was smiling when I was editing their session, just thinking back to it. I really love these two! They are so genuine and so in love and it’s so much fun to capture. I’ve been emailing with Clare the last few weeks, talking about their wedding timeline and it has me so excited for their big day in October! They are having a church ceremony and then a big reception at The Victorian and I can’t wait to capture it all!
