Yasamin & Tatum | North Carolina Mountain Farm Engagement

I can already tell you that my words won’t do the beauty of this session any justice. This is Tatum’s family’s mountain farm and it’s nothing short of amazing. Can you image growing up here and having your own mountain top views?! I’m convinced I need to live in the mountains now.

Every time I think about this session, I can’t help but smile because it was not only a dream location, but Yasamin and Tatum are simply the best. I could go on for days about how much love I have for the two of them and it makes my heart so happy to be the one to capture their celebration.

We explored all around the property, from the barn, to the open fields, to the river and all the way up the mountain for some amazing views. To top it all off, Yasamin’s parents were there, visiting with Tatum’s family and they had a fun get together that evening. When I got there, Yasamin’s father was ironing their clothes, her mother was helping her plan her outfits and jewelry and Tatum’s mom was giving us all the suggestions for locations. The amount of love in that one space was just astounding to me and something I will never forget. They insisted I stay the night instead of driving back to Raleigh, but when I said I had to get back, they sent me on my way with the most delicious home cooked meal to eat on my way home.

It’s people like Yasamin, Tatum and their wonderful families that make me certain I’ve chosen the right journey in photography. Cheers to these two! I can’t wait to celebrate you again!
