When we arrived at the hotel, I knew it was going to be a great day, despite the downpour of rain outside. I watch Holly get ready with such overwhelming happiness written all over her face, and I knew the rain wasn’t going to stand in the way of her perfect day. You could just tell that she couldn’t believe her wedding day was finally here. The hotel room was a whirlwind full of smiles, tulle, pearls, lavender dresses, and an increasing feeling of excitement.

Dan and Holly are hockey fans, which was reflected in their reception details from their Stanley Cup shaped cake to the tables numbered after NHL players. Romain and I sat at the Wayne Gretzky table. Toasts from friends and family proved that Dan and Holly are truly treasured; so many of their loved ones offered hilarious stories and loving advice. After the toasts were made and dinner was had, everyone danced the night away and we wrapped up the evening with a stolen moment in the elevators.
