Tate Justin Chatham Hall Virginia Wedding

August 7, 2019

Tate & Justin | Chatham Hall

If I could sum up Tate & Justin’s day, I would chose one word; romance. From the loving looks that Justin stole of Tate, the soft color palate of the wedding details, the Virginia countryside views, even down to the little wisps of Tate’s hair framing her face; it all exuded romance.

Sometimes in the hustle and bustle of a busy wedding day, it’s easy to overlook the small romantic moments, but this was not the case for these two. I always think back to that episode of The Office when Jim and Pam are getting married and Pam is told to take mental pictures throughout the day. Is it weird that I’m referencing The Office when talking about romance and weddings? I don’t think so, because that romance between Jim and Pam is the perfect representation of the love story that everyone hopes for, right in the middle of everyday life. The whole world fell in love with that love story. When Tate walked down the aisle, she was so focused on Justin, not looking at anything or anyone else around her. I think the rest of the world quite literally melted away in that moment. Maybe she was taking mental pictures in her mind. 🙂

I love all of the little details of this day, but one of my favorite things is how they tied oranges into their reception decor. Justin is from Florida and the two will be starting their new adventure together in the sunshine state, so adding this pop of citrus was the perfect, clever little nod to that. Or maybe I’m just really too obsessed with food?! A bonus for us was watching our good friends, the Wackerhagens, tearing up the dance floor. 😉

Tate and Justin – we wish you so many years of happiness together and we are honored to be the ones that got to capture your amazing love story! Congratulations!
